What is the last day to register?
The last day to register online is Wednesday, June 21st at 11:59pm EST. After online registration closes only 10 slots will be left available. These spots will be handed out first come first serve, during registration / packet pick up/ registration on June 23, 2016. Once they are filled we will close registration. It is highly recommended that you register early to secure your spot and save on your registration fees. It will also save you time in packet pick up.
Will there be professional medical personnel on hand during the race?
Yes, professional medical personnel will be in stationed in the transition area through out the race and at the finish line.
How many aid stations are there on the course?
There is an aid station in the transition area. There are 5 aid stations on the bike course and 8 stations on the run.
Do I have to be a USAT member to race?
No, but you will need to purchase a one day USAT membership when you register. The cost is $15.00.
Is the swim a mass start?
No. This is a USAT sanction event and USAT states that there must be waves in the swim with no more than 150 competitors per wave.
What will be offered at the aid stations?
Bike stations will offer water, Powerade, bananas, gels. Run stations will offer water, Powerade, Coca-cola, oranges, pretzels, gels.
As a participant can I have assistance during the race?
No. USAT rules.
Can I rack my bike the night before?
No. We do not have night security. You will be able to rack you bike
starting at 5:30am race morning.
What is the water temperature on race day?
The average temperature of the water is between 68 and 72 degrees.
What if I deferred my 2016 registration. How do I sign up for 2017?
If you have deferred your 2016 Tinman Registration for the 2017 race you should have received a coupon code in your email. You will be prompted to enter this code at the end of the registration process.
